Canvas prints - the best way to fill a wall
....and FREE UK Delivery within 5 working days
All my photographs are available as stretched canvas prints, for sizes from A4 (12 inch) up to 60 inches; some even larger. In my opinion, there really is no better way to display photographs at a large size - and large canvases are truly captivating. There is no need for glass - so there is no annoying reflection to distract from the image. There is no need for an external frame, so no exorbitant extra cost for framing after you have purchased the picture. Perhaps most importantly, the picture is essentially immediately ready to hang - it won't sit in the spare room for 5 years waiting for someone to frame it.
My canvases are stretched over custom handmade pine frames, of either 1" or 2" depth. I generally suggest the 1" thickness for canvases with dimensions under 16", but otherwise I normally recommend the 2" depth frame.
The canvas itself is the finest quality 415gsm bright white artist's archival cotton canvas. In combination with the sensational K3 Ultrachrome pigmented inks from Epson, the results are not only breathtakingly bright and crisp - they should also last for at least 75 years without fading(*).
I manually "bleed" the image around the corners of the canvas, off the front face and onto the sides, to produce what is called a "gallery wrap". Personally, I much prefer the gallery wrap to the many canvases one sees printed only on the front surface, with plain white sides. Whilst this latter option is much simpler and far less time-consuming to prepare, for me the gallery wrap is one of the biggest advantages of canvas printing, lending an almost three-dimensional quality to the resulting print.
If you live locally to Inverness, all canvas orders will be delivered personally by me (or can be collected by you, together with a cup of tea!), and will come ready fitted with a gallery hanging wire. For orders destined for other locations around the UK, two options exist. The free delivery option comes directly from my canvas printer to your door. As a result, it will require you to attach for yourself a way to hang the canvas (usually two picture eyes and a piece of wire or string). Alternatively, I will very gladly perform this task for you before posting the canvas to you. However, in this case there will be an additional charge of £15 to cover the extra postage costs. Since most customers would prefer to save the £15 and spend 5 minutes fitting the hanging string themselves, the default option is free postage!
If you have any questions at all, or would like to discuss your requirements, custom sizes, or if you want to order a non-gallery wrapped canvas etc., please contact me by any of the methods shown here.
